Anayra Calderon

Anayra has been teaching since 2002 and is a ERYT-500. She started her teaching journey in 2002 and in 2013 Anayra and her business partner created Yoga in the World a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School (200 hr RYS).

Anayra's classes are filled with the passion and intensity she feels for yoga. Expect core work, stability training and play. Her students always learn something new about alignment, philosophy and transcending their boundaries in her classes.

Anayra has completed 100 hours of teacher training with Shiva Rea in Elemental and Prana Vinyasa.

In addition to her varied yoga training, Anayra is certified to teach Pilates and studied Thai Yoga Massage with Saul David Raye in 2002.

Anayra also holds a double BA in Religious Studies and Literature from Seton Hall University and a MA in Literature from Seton Hall University.

Kira Simone

Kira Simone is a certified vinyasa teacher, a Reiki practitioner, and a Thai yoga therapy enthusiast. She is also headed for a masters degree in occupational therapy.
 
Kira believes in healing and happiness through movement, touch, and meditation. She hopes her classes will leave your body and soul feeling cleansed, and your heart a little more open. Kira is grateful for the individual vibration of each and every student in her classes.

Michelle Swiatkowski

Michelle discovered power vinyasa yoga while living abroad in Australia in 2008. Shortly after her return to the states, she began studying Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga. She has completed over 600 hours of training in the Baptiste yoga methodology and is a certified Baptiste instructor. As a teacher, Michelle strives to empower her students and leave them up to something bigger in their practice through sweaty, challenging asana and deep ujjayi breath. Expect to be eased outside of your comfort zone and try something new in her classes. Michelle is honored to be a part of the Surya Yoga team and looks forward to meeting students and building the yoga community in the NJ/NY area.
This class combines the physicality of power yoga; the creative flow of vinyasa; adding attention to alignment, fun and philosophy. This is a strong, challenging class with variations offered for strong beginners. Learn how to take your practice seriously, but yourself lightly.
