Surya Hot Flow - Level 1

This class is taught by:

Annalisa Venezia

Annalisa is an energetic and outgoing individual and brings her unique style of Vinyasa flow to her classes. She received her certification in 2017 at Younique Yoga under the instruction of Kelly Santucci, E-RYT 200.

She wishes to inspire her students to connect with their own personal wisdom, healing abilities, and expansive potential through the practice of Yoga.

From a very young age, Annalisa was interested in how the human body moves and flows. Her background includes ballet, which is why she immediately fell in love with her first heated Vinyasa Yoga class. It was during her teacher training, she realized Yoga was more than just the “asanas” and applied the practice of Yoga
into her everyday life. Yoga is about balance, discipline, and most importantly, going with the “flow”. She designs her classes so that students move with a beautiful
balance of strength and fluidity, and leave class feeling open and energized.

Ida Kenna

Ida is a 200 hour certified yoga teacher with ”Yoga in The World,” trained and guided by her beloved teacher Anayra Caldron. Ida has practiced yoga and meditated daily for her entire adult life.

Ida is a licensed Psychotherapist with a strong focus on “Mindfulness,” focusing one's awareness in the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts, and movements. Ida’s core belief is that we take our yoga off of the mat, and into the world. Yoga is a way of being.

Ida’s classes will reflect her love, and knowledge of music. You can expect rock and roll, chanting, instrumental, and every type of music imaginable. Ida’s Asana practice will be guided by the precepts of the Yoga Sutras, and often times infused with mythical storytelling. The Asana practice is the journey to meditation. Ida’s class will challenge her students, focus on the breath, and prepare them to sit for meditation. Ida’s goal is to take you on a one hour spiritual journey. Her intention is to make yoga accessible to all!

Daba Briggs

Daba came to yoga over a decade ago to balance out soccer and running. She describes her classes as mindfully aligned and aims at making poses accessible for every body and every level. Daba brings humor and lightness to her classes while leading you in a safe and challenging practice.

She has also completed training programs in pre-natal & post-natal yoga; currently studies Iyengar and structural yoga with her mentor and teachers Nikki Costello and Alison West; and studies gentle/restorative yoga. She is blessed to share yoga in the community every day.

Daba studies and draws some of her inspiration from her many yoga instructors, yoga students, everyday life and her little dog Chuy.

Angela Rauscher

Angela has been practicing yoga and living a yoga lifestyle for over 15 years. She is a 500hour Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher, receiving her yoga teacher certification and Let Your Yoga Dance® certification from the Kripalu School of Yoga, and her professional level yoga leadership certification from Shakti Initiation in Bali, Indonesia.

Although Angela initially started practicing yoga to heal physical injuries from a bad car accident, she soon discovered the healing power of yoga extended from body, to mind and spirit, on and off the mat. To Angela, yoga is more than asana practice (the postures); it has been, and continues to be, a life changing journey and commitment to her true self.

Angela creates a mood in each class, weaving her knowledge of the energy systems of the body (the chakras) with thematic yogic philosophy, original sequencing, breathing techniques, mantra and meditation. She believes in the philosophy that yoga should meet your body where it is now, and that yoga is a practice of inquiry and consciousness, unique to each individual. Her classes are spiritually driven, infused with compassion, encouragement and support, offering a safe space for students to explore and discover their personal edge.

Angela is committed to helping people live life to their highest potential and feels blessed to be able to support others on their yoga journey. She has been studying Buddhism for the past 5 years, and continues to study and practice yoga on and off the mat, on a daily basis.
This class is a great introduction to Hot Vinyasa Flow. It's a great class for an introduction to Hot Yoga. Class includes basic forward and backward bending poses, twists, basic flows, lunges and basic inversions.

RECOMMENDED FOR BEGINNERS AND ADVANCED BEGINNERS.
