Magda Usarek-Witek

Magda was introduced to yoga by her father at age eight and has been going classes and kirtans ever since. She dove deeper into her practice in 2010 to find anxiety relief from the stresses and pressures of daily life. Once she found the benefits of bringing breath and movement into the body she could never look back.

Trained in Vinyasa yoga through Bhakti Barn 200 RYT training, Magda incorporates the playfulness of vinyasa and the mindfulness of alignment, breathwork, and many other styles including yin yoga and restorative. She enjoys the personal connection cultivated between the student and the teacher. In addition to the 200 RYT, Magda has taken several training workshops for Hands on Assists, backcare and scoliosis, and therapeutics in the classroom.

She is forever grateful to the gurus and friends in her yoga community. When Magda isn't teaching or practicing yoga, she can be found working as an environmental specialist, on her bike, hiking, or traveling and enjoying the simple moments. You can expect some good tunes, a fun practice, yoga philosophy, and laughter in her class.

Daba Briggs

Daba came to yoga over a decade ago to balance out soccer and running. She describes her classes as mindfully aligned and aims at making poses accessible for every body and every level. Daba brings humor and lightness to her classes while leading you in a safe and challenging practice.

She has also completed training programs in pre-natal & post-natal yoga; currently studies Iyengar and structural yoga with her mentor and teachers Nikki Costello and Alison West; and studies gentle/restorative yoga. She is blessed to share yoga in the community every day.

Daba studies and draws some of her inspiration from her many yoga instructors, yoga students, everyday life and her little dog Chuy.

Megan Eaton

Megan began practicing yoga in Indiana, over 10 years ago. What began as a simple weekly routine to relieve pain from a former injury turned into much more. After moving to New York City, her practice turned into a deeper, daily exploration of herself. It was during that time, she discovered her true passion, to give this practice to others.

In December of 2014 she completed her first teacher training and has been sharing what she learned ever since. Megan holds a 200-hour vinyasa certification, a restorative certification, and is in the process of earning her 500-hour advanced teaching certificate. She truly believes that yoga is a practice and is always yearning to learn and discover more.

Angela Rauscher

Angela has been practicing yoga and living a yoga lifestyle for over 15 years. She is a 500hour Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher, receiving her yoga teacher certification and Let Your Yoga Dance® certification from the Kripalu School of Yoga, and her professional level yoga leadership certification from Shakti Initiation in Bali, Indonesia.

Although Angela initially started practicing yoga to heal physical injuries from a bad car accident, she soon discovered the healing power of yoga extended from body, to mind and spirit, on and off the mat. To Angela, yoga is more than asana practice (the postures); it has been, and continues to be, a life changing journey and commitment to her true self.

Angela creates a mood in each class, weaving her knowledge of the energy systems of the body (the chakras) with thematic yogic philosophy, original sequencing, breathing techniques, mantra and meditation. She believes in the philosophy that yoga should meet your body where it is now, and that yoga is a practice of inquiry and consciousness, unique to each individual. Her classes are spiritually driven, infused with compassion, encouragement and support, offering a safe space for students to explore and discover their personal edge.

Angela is committed to helping people live life to their highest potential and feels blessed to be able to support others on their yoga journey. She has been studying Buddhism for the past 5 years, and continues to study and practice yoga on and off the mat, on a daily basis.

Melissa Otero

Melissa is a vinyasa yoga instructor and an award winning singer/songwriter with a passion for helping others. Yoga became an important part of her life in the year 2009 after a long battle with depression. Upon discovering yoga and its healing benefits, Melissa dove deep into the practice and finally decided to bring her new found love to others by going through a 200hr Vinyasa Teacher Training in 2015. Melissa hopes to share her love for yoga and music in her classes and inspire others.
This class is a great introduction to Hot Vinyasa Flow. It's a great class for an introduction to Hot Yoga. Class includes basic forward and backward bending poses, twists, basic flows, lunges and basic inversions.
