Magda Usarek-Witek

Magda was introduced to yoga at a young age by her family and has been going classes and kirtans ever since. She dove deeper into her practice in 2010 to find anxiety relief from the stresses and pressures of daily life. Once she found the benefits of bringing breath and movement into the body she could never look back. Her classes include mindful alignment with a playful sequence of poses. She strives to make each class unique and help every body experience yoga to their fullest potential: the mind, body, and spirit connection.

Magda is 500 RYT trained in vinyasa yoga through Bhakti Barn 200 RYT in 2013 and 300 RYT from Hudson Yoga Project in July 2018. In addition to the 200 RYT, Magda has special training with Yin Yoga, Hands on Assists, Back Care and Therapeutics in the classroom.

Mercedes Bermejo

Mercedes is a Yoga and Wellness expert with over 12 years of experience in a variety of specializations in the field. She has been teaching at different NYC studios and leading Yoga programs like the Lincoln Center Ballet, the Rusk NYU Langone Health and creating programs like Yoga at the Roof in partnership with Plan USA Nepal.

Mercedes has also taught yoga to cancer patients at Jersey City's RWJ Barnabas Medical Center.
 
Born in Madrid, where she was a professional singer, Mercedes also holds a M.A. degree in anthropology and voice. She leads Gamaya a devotional music band, loves to travel and is a passionate cyclist and advocate of a sustainable way of life.
This is a slower approach to yoga, including 3-8 minute holds in poses supported by props. This is a grounding practice focusing on stretching the deeper connective tissues in the body to improve flexibility while also calming the central nervous system using long slow breaths. Yin yoga is recommended as a complement to any vinyasa practice or active lifestyle. Good for all levels,
