Surya Warm Yin

This class is taught by:

Mackenzie Pitt

I began my journey into yoga from a young age when my mother enrolled me in kids' yoga classes. As I deepened my practice into adulthood, I found my spiritual connection to the practice through meditation and pranayama.

Today as an instructor, I enjoy teaching vinyasa and hatha yoga, with a particular interest yin. My goal for my classes is to help students deepen their mind-body connection and explore their internal environment through meaningful contemplation.

Ida Kenna

Ida has practiced Yoga her entire adult life. She says, "Yoga has been my safe space in this beautiful, but tumultuous world." Yoga has been the perfect complement to Ida's work as a Psychotherapist. She received her first Yoga certification from Yoga in the World. She then certified in the Hot26 Classical  Hatha series, Jivamukti Spiritual Warrior, and Yin Yoga. Ida holds a deep appreciation for the a practice. She feels Yin Yoga is a "magical, healing deep practice".

Ida has studied and holds certification in Mythical Storytelling, as well as Yin Yoga from Kelly Kamm Yoga. In Ida's classes, you can expect a deeply physical practice accompanied by storytelling. and an eclectic playlist. Ida considers teaching Yoga personal and an art form.

Maureen Taylor

From the first moment Maureen stepped onto her mat, which she affectionately calls her magic carpet, her life was transformed. Maureen received her RYT-200 hour certification from Yoga in the World in partnership with Surya Yoga Academy. She is also trained in Yin.

Hatha-trained with alignment-based focus, Maureen is a dedicated and
passionate individual who will bring the same passion to each and every one of
her classes. Maureen will incorporate the physical and spiritual aspects of this beautiful calming practice. She encourages her students to blossom by integrating the graceful flow of Vinyasa yoga with mindfulness to the connection between the body, mind and breath. Her classes will leave you feeling grounded and balanced while having a great workout.

Maureen creates an authentic space with stimulating asana for all levels of practitioners.
This is a slower approach to yoga, including 3-8 minute holds in poses supported by props. This is a grounding practice focusing on stretching the deeper connective tissues in the body to improve flexibility while also calming the central nervous system using long slow breaths. Yin yoga is recommended as a complement to any vinyasa practice or active lifestyle.

RECOMMENDED FOR BEGINNERS AND ADVANCED BEGINNERS. ROOM WILL BE WARM.
